Dr Giulio Palmisano, after forty years of experience in foreign and Italian markets as wine consultant and exporter, created in 2008, with the assistance of his sons, Sergio and Mauro, ‘IONIS® ’, a company whose ambitious plan was directed towards bottling and marketing Salento’s best wines. Today the company offers particular wines made from grapes that are native to the Salento region, such as Verdeca, Primitivo IGT and DOC, Negramaro, Salice Saleno DOC and Malvasia Nera.
