The Zaccagnini Farm was founded in 1970 by Mario Zaccagnini , my father, an entrepreneur who had never had anything to do with the land. A man of few words, who always distributed smiles sparingly, but with great sensitivity and love for nature , a love inherited from his father Alessandro, called “Lisà” by his friends, a musician passionate about wine, art and nature. In those years, Mario bought the first lands in the Salmàgina district, in Staffolo, in the central-eastern part of the Marche, 20 km from the Adriatic Sea. After a few years, this activity , born almost for fun, as a gesture of love for the land of origin, grew until it became the main and only activity . From that moment, behind the name Zaccagnini there are stories of great sacrifices, victories and satisfactions, obtained with tenacity and perseverance, always believing in the goal to be achieved . We have seen this company grow from a dream , just as we have seen the people who work with us grow on a daily basis. Our collaborators are now part of our family , with whom we share something that is precious to us: work . Mario, even today, sees his company grow with even greater satisfaction, because what was his dream has now become my dream too . Then there is also my husband Franco , a Friulian “transplanted” for love to the Marche, a gentle, cultured and intelligent man who loves to define himself as “a connoisseur of bread, wine and the good flavours of tradition” , responsible for the cellar and balancer of my volcanic dynamism! Then there is Livia , my mother, a living witness of the past that cannot be forgotten , a past that she continually brings to life in her typical dishes, whose recipes we guard like a family treasure. Her task is to represent the memory of what has been and to lovingly care for Martina, our daughter, and to watch over our future.
