Fattoria Montepescini is located around the old ruins of an old castle known as “Castelvecchio”, in the oldest part of the medieval village which dates back to the year 1000. The area has been renowned for centuries for its wine vocation. The winery is situated in the splendid “Basso Merse Nature Reserve”, a protected and uncontaminated area, which extends between the confluence of the Merse and Ombrone rivers.
