This red wine is ruby red in color with light garnet hues. Fine aromas of fragrant red fruits of blackberry, cranberry and currant blends are followed by a rich floral hint of red rose and a gentle spice flavor. The wine has a rounded mouthfeel- textured. It is a pleasant fully-bodied wine with excellent freshness and good balanced tannins.
Ripasso wines can be served with a number of dishes such as risotto and hearty pasta dishes. But they are at their best when paired with hearty dishes like roasted veal or lamb or braised or barbequed red meats like steak, sausage and game. Ripasso also goes well with aged cheeses like Parmigiano-Reggiano.

Villa San Carlo is a producer of Amarone wine from the greater Valpolicella area, 10 km from Verona. Their holding consists of 22 hectares of vineyards positioned on terraces at different heights, surrounded by woods, olive groves and fruit orchards, which provide great biodiversity. This family owned winery is led by a father and his two daughters Antonia and Cristina.
