La Piotta

Straw yellow with greenish reflections that herald freshness, the nose is soft and notes of stone fruit such as apricot and white peach, and white flowers stand out, with fresh bread and dried fruit in the finish. On the palate the roundness and softness are surprising and are immediately replaced by freshness and acid notes, unusual for an old vineyard but characteristic of the terroir.

Food Pairing   Simply prepared seafood dishes, and lighter fish dishes go great with Pinot Grigio. The flavors of this wine are rather delicate, so pair Pinot Grigio up with lighter and less 'fishy' fish such as Halibut, Pickerel, Sole, or Trout.

"La Piotta is located in the heart of the Oltrepò, in Montalto Pavese, in an area particularly suited to the production of fine wines and sparkling wines. La Piotta was founded in 1985 by Luigi, and later taken over by his sons Gabriele and Mario. Today the young Enrico and Luca in fact support their fathers in the technical, productive and commercial part, always under the careful supervision of Luigi. Their will is to continue the journey begun by their grandfather, bringing new ideas to the winery both from the point of view of image and production."
